Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Socioset, we value transparency and fairness in our service agreements. Because our services are time-based, resource-intensive, and often involve third-party costs, cancellations and refunds are handled differently depending on the type of service.
This policy applies to all clients across the USA, UK, Pakistan, and internationally.
1. General Rules (All Services)
● Cancellations must be requested in writing (email or client portal).
● A 30-day notice period is required for all recurring/retainer services.
● Setup fees, onboarding charges, and third-party costs (e.g., ad spend, hosting, tools) are non-refundable.
● Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 30 business days via the original payment method.
● Chargebacks/disputes filed without prior cancellation notice may result in service suspension and legal action.
2. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Services
● SEO is a long-term process; results may take 3–6 months or longer.
● Cancellation:
○ Requires 30 days’ notice.
○ Work already performed is non-refundable.
● Refunds:
○ Pre-paid months are refundable only for periods not yet started (beyond the 30-day notice).
○ Keyword research, audits, or completed link-building campaigns are non-refundable.
3. Social Media Marketing & Management
● Includes content creation, posting, ad campaigns, and engagement.
● Cancellation:
○ 30 days’ notice required.
○ Content already created or scheduled cannot be refunded.
● Refunds:
○ Monthly retainers are non-refundable once content production has begun.
○ Paid ad budgets (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) are handled by third parties and are non-refundable.
4. Pay-Per-Click (PPC) & Paid Advertising
● Covers Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.
● Cancellation:
○ Ads can be paused immediately upon request.
○ Minimum 14 days’ notice required for contract cancellation.
● Refunds:
○ Management fees already paid are non-refundable.
○ Any unused ad spend in the client’s account remains the client’s property
5. Branding & Creative Design Services
● Includes logo design, graphics, videos, copywriting, etc.
● Cancellation:
○ Can be canceled anytime before project delivery.
● Refunds:
○ 100% refundable if canceled before design work begins.
○ 50% refundable if project is in-progress (concepts shared but not finalized).
○ Non-refundable once final deliverables are shared.
6. Website Development & Maintenance
● Covers design, development, hosting setup, and ongoing maintenance.
● Cancellation:
○ One-time projects: cancellation allowed until delivery of first draft.
○ Maintenance contracts: require 30 days’ notice.
● Refunds:
○ Setup fees and domain/hosting purchases are non-refundable.
○ Work already completed (wireframes, prototypes, coding) is non-refundable.
○ Partial refunds may apply only for unused development hours.
7. CRM Setup & Automation
● Includes CRM integration, sales funnels, and workflow automation.
● Cancellation:
○ May be canceled at any stage, but client is liable for costs of third-party software
licenses.
● Refunds:
○ Setup/consultation fees are non-refundable.
○ Subscription fees paid to third-party CRM providers (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) are non-refundable.
○ Only refundable if cancellation occurs before implementation begins.
8. Consulting & Strategy Sessions
● Includes one-on-one consulting, training, and workshops.
● Cancellation:
○ Sessions may be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice.
○ Cancellations less than 48 hours before scheduled time are non-refundable.
● Refunds:
○ 100% refundable if canceled 72+ hours before scheduled session.
○ 50% refundable if canceled 48–72 hours before.
○ Non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours or after session delivery.
9. Retainer & Subscription-Based Services
● Covers bundled packages (SEO + Social Media + PPC, etc.).
● Cancellation:
○ Requires 30 days’ written notice.
○ Services remain active until the notice period ends.
● Refunds:
○ No prorated refunds for mid-month cancellations.
○ Prepaid retainers beyond the 30-day notice may be refunded.
10. Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis if:
● Services were not delivered at all due to Socioset’s failure.
● Duplicate payments were made in error.
● Legal obligations in USA/UK/Pakistan require refund.
11. Client-Initiated Cancellation
If the Client cancels the project before any work has commenced, the Socioset shall charge 10% of the total project/service fee as a penalty for administrative and booking costs. Any balance payment already made shall be refunded after this deduction.
If the Client cancels the project after work has commenced but before 50% completion, the Socioset shall retain 50% of the total project fee (or the value of the work completed, whichever is greater).
If the Client cancels the project after 50% completion, the full project fee shall remain payable, and no refunds will be issued.
